“Patora is absolutely fantastic. I have a deaf student who can struggle with his learning environment and Patora has gone above and beyond to support him. She met with me to get a background on him and set up 1:1’s for him to attend instead of the noisy group session. She’s built such a trusting relationship with him that he’s started attending the group sessions, which is amazing and a huge improvement on last year. She’s also very proactive and has taken the time to reach out regarding students’ wellbeing to offer her support. She is so kind and patient and the feedback from students has been overwhelmingly positive. Patora takes the time to listen to their concerns and allows them to have input on lessons, which they all appreciate. They feel respected and listened to and are then more willing to engage with their learning. I’m so grateful she’s a part of our Guildford team. An absolute superstar!”
Jade Byng, Study Mentor, Activate Learning

Patora has led the engagement team from OPDC to Park Royal campus since 2022. The objective of this relationship with West London College was to engage with construction learners, and help create pathways for them to enter employment in the industry. Many of our learners have little or no connections or have the know-how to enter the industry from study. In order to create these links and opportunities, many talks, discussions, and debates had to take place. These debates often become heated, where disaffected learners voice their frustration at the difficulties in entering employment.
Patora handles these situations perfectly, offering the right mix of assertiveness and empathy. She eventually won the learners around and they now see her as a trusted and valuable ally. Patora’s capacity to gauge a situation and control the conversation in order to get her point across in an effective manner was exceptional. Being from education, I am aware of the skills needed to accomplish this.
Patora diligently followed up every meeting with substance, and maintained communication in a conscious and purposeful way. She exuded empathy towards the learners, and provided opportunities for them while offering support. Patora is a person I’d highly recommend for a position of support, whether in education or within the community. I confirm the above to be true.
